Afterimaj (25, Tampa, FL) is an atmospheric singer-songwriter and visual storyteller whose music exists in the space between memory and perception. Drawn to her voice from a young age, she began shaping her artistry early — teaching herself guitar at 13 and performing on stages throughout the greater Tampa and St. Pete area.

At 16, Afterimaj captivated national audiences as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice, earning three chair turns and joining Jennifer Hudson’s team, where she received mentorship from Jennifer Hudson and guest judge Kelly Rowland. Since that time, she has honed her craft in studio settings, background vocals, and original songwriting, refining a sound that blends introspective lyricism with cinematic production.

Inspired by the concept of an “afterimage” — the lingering impression left after a moment has passed — Afterimaj writes from the reflective aftermath of life’s experiences.
